A restful two-day hot-spring stay in Kusatsu
Would you like to check the time less often on holiday? Consider a two-day Kusatsu stay with time to unwind in your room’s bath. Based at La Vista Kusatsu Hills, this suggestion balances sightseeing and rest at your own pace.
This is a researched itinerary based on Rakuten Travel listings, not a first-person account of a stay.
- Make time to relax in your room’s open-air bath
- Balance a hot-spring-town walk with time at the hotel
- Once dates are firm, compare early-booking conditions
After sightseeing, return to your room’s hot spring
Rakuten Travel describes the hotel as having a natural hot-spring open-air bath in every room. Time outside can be enjoyable, but so can looking forward to returning to your room.
After a town walk, rest before bathing. Read or enjoy the view until dinner. Include time at the hotel instead of rushing to the next place.
A 90-day discount and 60-day points benefit
At the checking date, the following two early-booking plans were listed. Discounts and points are different benefits on separate plans.
Saki-Raku 90: up to 10% off and one drink
Book at least 90 days ahead. The plan advertises up to 10% off the base plan and one drink at dinner. The listed eligible period runs to 30 November 2027, with blackout dates.
Early 60: 10% points
This plan advertises 10% points for booking at least 60 days ahead. The listed period runs to 31 May 2027. Points are not a cash discount: compare the payable total and expected points separately.
Compare rates for the same dates, party size and room. A maximum-discount headline does not guarantee the lowest price.

Two unhurried days in Kusatsu
The following is Tabijutan’s itinerary suggestion, not a product including transport or sightseeing.
Day 1: a short town walk, then an early return to the hotel
After arrival, take a manageable town walk suited to the weather and your energy. Limit the area and head to the hotel for check-in. Rest in your room before enjoying the hot spring and dinner.
Keep the evening flexible rather than planning a distant outing. Time spent doing nothing can be part of a satisfying trip.
Day 2: one more pause before leaving
Leave space around breakfast and packing. Work back from your return transport; if walking, choose roughly one place. In poor weather, keep the option of heading home without a detour.
Things to check before booking
- Children of elementary-school age or younger cannot stay.
- Check the early-booking deadline, eligible dates, room and meal conditions.
- Check when cancellation charges begin and how changes affect benefits.
- Research transport to the destination and between the hotel and town in advance.
Early booking can suit firm plans. If changes are possible, choose with cancellation conditions as well as benefits in mind.
