Time to do nothing by the sea: two days at Imaiso in Izu
Could your next trip include a little less sightseeing? Look at the sea, soak in a hot spring and eat when it is time for a meal. Imaiso at Izu Imaihama Onsen is a destination for enjoying time at your accommodation.
This is a suggested trip based on the hotel’s official information and Rakuten Travel listings, not a first-person account of a stay.
- Relax by the sea without packing in attractions
- Enjoy hot springs and meals at one hotel
- Make time to talk together as a couple
Make the sea view the focus of your stay
Imaiso is a hot-spring ryokan facing the sea at Imaihama. Rakuten Travel describes sea views from all guest rooms. After putting your bags down, leave a little time simply to enjoy the view.
Travel does not need a constant stream of activities. Bring a book, talk over a drink or sit quietly for a while. Make time usually put off at home a central part of the trip.

Food and drinks in an all-inclusive stay
Imaiso describes an all-inclusive style, with a sea-facing lobby lounge and buffet dining.
Rather than visiting a string of restaurants, this trip leaves room to spend time at the hotel as you feel like it. Less travelling for meals means more time in your room or lounge.
Do not assume everything in the building is free: check included food and drinks, service hours and separately charged services before booking.

A pause after the hot spring
The official site says the Hekikai and Hekiku communal baths have open-air baths and saunas, with men’s and women’s use switching between morning and evening. Views and available hours differ by bath.
Drinks and ice lollies are described in the post-bath lounge. Not needing to rush to the next activity is part of a hotel-centred trip.
Private baths are also available, but their conditions differ from the communal baths. Check charges and booking procedures separately.

A suggested two-day stay focused on the hotel
The following is Tabijutan’s suggestion, not a package or timed service sold by the hotel.
Day 1: fewer detours and an earlier arrival
After lunch, travel in time for check-in. Enjoy the view from your room, then the hot spring or lounge. Leave time to do nothing before dinner.
After dinner, return to your room for a conversation or relax elsewhere in the hotel. Keep the evening unhurried too.
Day 2: no rush after breakfast
Take a morning bath if you wake comfortably in time. After breakfast, pack and enjoy the time until your plan’s checkout. Decide any return-journey stops according to energy and weather.
The official FAQ gives approximately three minutes on foot from Imaihama-Kaigan Station. A free shuttle also runs from Kawazu Station, but some services require reservations. Check times and reservation requirements before planning connections.

Enter stay dates and party size, then compare standard and early-booking plans for the same room and meals. An advertised early-booking offer may be unavailable for your dates or change conditions.
- Room:Check size, floor, bedding and occupancy.
- Meals:Check whether dinner and breakfast are included and their conditions.
- Price:Check whether it is per person or per room, and check taxes and extra charges.
- Changes and cancellation:Check early-booking eligibility and cancellation fees.
- Children:Check age categories, meals, bedding and acceptance conditions.
Understanding what is included makes an all-inclusive stay easier to plan. Choose terms that suit how you want to spend your time rather than assuming the lowest price.
Make time looking at the sea part of the journey
Memories need not be only of famous sights. The sea through a window, a pause after bathing or an unhurried conversation can matter too. If Imaiso is your destination, leave room for those moments.
