A night in Hakodate, with breakfast to look forward to

Walk the port town, relax in a hot spring at night and wake up looking forward to breakfast. This two-day suggestion uses La Vista Hakodate Bay as a base for enjoying both town and hotel.

This is a researched itinerary based on Rakuten Travel listings, not a first-person account of a stay.

Three things to enjoy on this trip
  • Leave time to pause during a Hakodate walk
  • Make breakfast a highlight of the trip
  • Use the Early 60 plan’s noon checkout

A port-town stay with breakfast to look forward to

Rakuten Travel’s plans introduce a breakfast buffet with options such as seafood rice bowls, and hot-spring baths overlooking Mount Hakodate and the bay area. It gives you something to enjoy the morning after exploring town.

Start the day at the hotel instead of travelling far for breakfast. Reserving time to eat can make a travel morning feel less rushed.

You do not need to add another destination every time. Time to stop before a view you like is part of this trip too.

Early 60: breakfast and noon checkout

A breakfast-inclusive plan for reservations at least 60 days ahead. At the checking date, it advertised checkout at noon instead of the usual 11:00. The listed eligible period runs to 31 March 2027.

After breakfast, return to your room to pack and pause with a drink. The extra hour can help you leave calmly rather than fit in another attraction.

There is no fixed discount amount. Compare with the standard plan under the same conditions and consider the value of late checkout. The listing says room floor and view cannot be specified.

Two days enjoying Hakodate and the hotel

This is Tabijutan’s itinerary suggestion, not a tour including flights, transport or sightseeing.

Day 1: focus your walk on one area

On arrival in Hakodate, check whether you can leave your luggage, then choose one area such as the bay or Motomachi. Take breaks suited to the slopes and weather.

Plan dinner in town, then return to the hotel’s hot spring. If heading out for a night view, check that day’s weather, transport and opening hours and leave enough energy for the morning.

Day 2: a slow morning beginning with breakfast

Allow time for breakfast and a pause back in your room. With a qualifying noon-checkout plan, packing need not be hurried.

If your flight or train leaves early, you may not use the benefit fully. Prioritise checkout and travel around your actual departure time.

Things to check before booking

  • Is Early 60 available for your dates?
  • Does the plan include breakfast and exclude dinner?
  • Check room conditions, including non-smoking or heated-tobacco options.
  • Does the selected plan include noon checkout?
  • Check cancellation charges and the total trip cost, including flights and trains.

Compare return transport costs as well as hotel benefits to judge the value for your own trip.
